Sheep Dogs Strategic Planning

A common phrase you may hear in Western culture is, "Don't just sit there, DO something!" While that statement is useful and true in certain situations, it is not generally an ideal strategy to use when running a business or ministry. In fact, we like to encourage people to do the opposite - namely, "Don't just do something, SIT THERE and THINK!"

WIth few exceptions, most of the great accomplishments in the world, in a company, in a ministry, or in an individual's life don't just happen without some planning and forethought. The strategic planning process involves the creation of a shared vision, an understanding of desired outcomes and of the factors that will help lead to those outcomes, and the formation of a planned, intentional approach to achieving those outcomes.
